Dr. Chien-Ming Huang

Dr. Chien-Ming Huang possesses decades of research experience into the polymerization and applied processing of biodegradable polymers and holds a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering. While serving as the founder and CEO of Minima Technology, Dr. Huang also acts as board of director to the Biodegradable Plastic Institute (BPI), and adviser of Thai Biopolymer Industry Association (TBIA). Moreover, in Taiwan, Dr. Huang is the founder and honor chairman of Environmentally Biodegradable Polymer Association (EBPA). Professor, Department of Energy and Materials Technology, Hsiuping University of Science and Technology, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology.
Yu-Kai (Esmy) Huang
Yu-Kai (Esmy) HuangChief Operating Officer
Mr. Yu-Kai (Esmy) Huang is chief operating officer, handling all sales, marketing and business development. Prior to joining Minima, Mr. Huang was senior sales manager for a leading international machine tool company, overseeing technical sales for customers throughout Asia. He also worked in senior sales engineering positions with global technology companies including Siemens Aktiengesellschaft (Germany) and Marquip Paper Machine Manufacturing Company (US).

Mr. Huang earned a masters of business administration (MBA) from National Chin-Yi University of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree from National Chung Hsing University.

Somsak Borrisuttanakul

Mr. Somsak Borrisuttanakul was born in Bangkok, Thailand in 1954. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Department of Teacher Training in Mechanical Engineering in 1977 from King Mongkul’s Institute of Technology North Bangkok. He joined Smith & Nephew Co., Ltd. in 1978 for plant engineer involved in factory and machinery management control. After working as plant engineer for four years, he moved to TPBI Public Company Limited in 1981, and is now Chief Executive Officer of TPBI Group.

Mr. Borrisuttanakul has been involved in the plastic extrusion industry for more than 30 years. His expertise includes flexible packaging, green packaging, biodegradable bags certified EN 13432 standard, stretch films and Modified Atmosphere Packaging for fruits and vegetables.

Currently, Mr. Borrisuttanakul is Honorary Chairman for Plastic Industry Club, The Federation of Thai Industries, Honorary Chairman of Thai Biopolymer Industry Association (TBIA) and Academic Committee of Biopolymer Standards, Thai Industrial Standards Institute – Ministry of Industry (TISI).

Sana Yip

Ms. Yuk Han (Sana) Yip has a background in both finance and accounting. She graduated from Hong Kong School of Commerce in 1982 where she majored in Business Marketing and Finance Management. Sana also served as an assistant in the accounting and sales departments of Walsin Technology Corporation (HK).
Ms. Yip became the finance Manager and Vice COO at Dong Jie Dian Zi Limited Co. She is currently the CEO of Team Will Enterprises Limited (HK), and is a member of the board of directors in MINIMA Technology Company.
Koichi Sonoda
Koichi SonodaConsultant, Minima Japan
Koichi Sonoda served as Chairman and Managing Director of Mitsubishi Chemical (China & Hong Kong) from 2008 – 2013, advancing from deputy general manager of the company’s Hong Kong Division.

Before moving to Mitsubishi, Mr. Sonoda was deputy general manager of Taiyo Ltd. (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) from 1993 – 1998.

Mr. Sonoda studied at KEIO University – Taiyang where he earned a degree in chemical engineering.

Mark Charman
Mark CharmanDirector, Minima Australia
Mark Charman is CEO of Dzolv Products Pty Ltd., a leading manufacturer and distributor of biodegradable bags and compostable foodservice products with headquarters in Western Australia. Prior to founding Dzolv Products in 2004, Mr. Charman was, and still is CEO of Total Packaging (W.A.) Pty Ltd., a leading plastics manufacturing company. He is an active member of the Australasian Biopolymer Association since 2011.
